High/Low - October 26th + Freebie

Hey everyone! I hope your week was good. Mine was okay, but I am very glad it's Friday. It's time for HIGH/LOW again! :)

My Low for this week is that I just felt extremely tired. I think it is just still healing a bit from having strep, but it was a real downer. I am so behind on housework and laundry and I just didn't get it done like I had planned. Don't you just hate it when you don't feel good enough to do the things on your list!!!!

My High for this week was going on JJ's field trip with him today. We went to HEE HAW FARMS. They had a neat corn maze, hayride, farm animals, and other fun things to do! And they even got to go through the pumpkin patch and pick a little pumpkin to take home. I am so glad that I went with JJ. It was fun to see him with his classmates and he was really good. I only see him at home when he is picking on his sister and it was good to see him have a good time. I think he gets cooped up too much at home. He loves being outside. He even picked a pretty good pumpkin. I was pretty bummed because for some reason my camera batteries didn't charge, even though they said they were fully charged. I got to the farm and my camera was completely dead. So I didn't get any pictures, but JJ's teacher got a few that she said she would email me, so I hope they turn out okay.


Other things:

This week I have been staying up pretty late (another reason that I'm so tired)..finishing up a kit collection. I did get it done and you will see it in all my stores next week. It includes 3 kits. Nippity 1, Nippity 2, and Nippity Extras. The Nippity 1 and Nippity Extras will be in all my stores. Nippity 2 is going to be the daily download in November at The Scrapping Garden! So you can pick up a piece of the kit every day and at the end of the month you will have the full kit! If you do miss pieces from the kit...Nippity 2 will be in all the stores at the end of the month. So make sure you check back here on the blog soon...I will be announcing the kit and showing previews soon! (Also I have a little sample of the kit as a freebie today! So scroll down and get that!)

Tomorrow my hubby and I are taking the kids to BOO AT THE ZOO. Since we don't know a lot of people here and stuff we aren't going to take the kids trick-0r-treating this year on Halloween. This event at HOGLE ZOO lets the kids see the animals and lots of booths for trick or treating and craft activities. It should be a lot of fun and since we have a zoo membership...it's free, so you can't beat that. I hope the kids enjoy it. Hopefully I get my camera working by then!

ANNOUNCING.....my new Creative Team

I have had strep all week! I am just starting to feel better, but I'm still in a bit of pain and I'm trying to play catch-up, so I know it's Friday, but I'm sorry I don't have a freebie for you today :( I promise I will get caught up in the next week and will have something for you.

Of course not much happened this week, except for being sick and trying to get well, so I guess I will skip the HIGH/LOW for this week too...sorry everyone!

BUT I do have some good news. I have selected 5 new CT members to join my existing team of Rona, Keli, and Vickie! I'm very happy to introduce the new members of my Team! Thank you to all who applied! It was a very difficult decision! But I'm so happy with these wonderful women who have already started to create amazing layouts with my products! And I feel very grateful!

Now without further ado....here they are:

BIRGIT (nighty):
I live in Germany with my wonderful son Lukas Christoph. We are very happy together, he's a real cutie and a good school pupil. We play a lot and because we have a low budget, we do a lot things ourselves. We do all kinds of crafting like window-color, and serviettentechnik ( didn't find a word for that). I love knitting and reading and sometimes we go to the arena to see ice hockey. Our team was german master this year. And sometimes to the cinema. We love all the Pixar films and Harry Potter!


FRAN:
I am a stay home mom of 4 yo Sam, and an enthusiastic digital scrapper of Sam. Married to Tim for 7 years and it just keeps getting better! We're avid Disney fans and go to Disney World at least once a year, Sam has been 5 times now. We also went to Disney World and on the Disney Cruise for our honeymoon!


LORILEE:
Hi, I am Lori. I have been married for 12 years and have 2 precious daughters. I have been digi-scrapping for just over a year and paper scrapping for maore years than I want to count. I enjoy reading, crafting, puzzles and going for walks with my family. My husband's main hobby is photography so between the photos I take and what he takes I have lots of material to work with. My biggest scrapping challenge is finding new ways to highlight the beautiful scenic photos my husband takes.



MARY:

I'm Mary (Catlady). Mom to 3 children. Wife to a wonderful guy, and a meowmie to one bossy cat. I love to scrap. My favorite thing to scrap is my family.

REBECCA:

So I went to the doctor today...

I went to the doctor today and it is confirmed...both my hubby and I have a bad case of strep. I'm in a lot of pain, but I'm on antibiotics now so hopefully I will get better quickly. This week was supposed to have been filled with rest and relaxation...instead my house has gotten no cleaning, I have not spent quality time with my kids, and I have been in complete pain, especially at night so I am getting no rest. Hopefully with a couple of days of antibiotics I will feel myself again and can get caught up with everything!

I could use your prayers as my hubby has the same thing as me and our poor children have had to suffer with ornery parents the past few days! I wish I had relatives/friends nearby that I could take the kids to so I could just heal up, but unfortunately that is not the case so we are just doing the best we can do!

High/Low - October 12th + Freebie

It's FRIDAY and that means it's HIGH/LOW time! For those of you just starting to read my blog...I have started a new posting every Friday. A little game called HIGH/LOW. I will be sharing my week with you by telling you the best thing (HIGH) that happened this past week and and the worst thing (LOW). So if I don't say much about what is going on during the week, at least you will know 2 things that happened! :) I tend to do more announcements/advertising of my designs on the blog rather the actual blogging! Anyways, I will also be mentioning a few other things that happened during the week as well! PLUS, I have also decided to share a little freebie in my Friday posting! So please come back every Friday to read about my week and get the freebie :) Hope you enjoy reading about my life!

My LOW for this week would have to be that I am just completely worn out and exhausted. I have lost a lot of sleep lately trying to keep up with everything. Throughout the past few weeks I have really accomplished a lot of things with my designs and responsibilities (including Digitals BB3 Event, putting out 2 grab bags and hosting several crops), but it has totally worn me out. I decided that I deserve a break, so for the next 2 days I am trying to finish up all my responsibilities and take care of all my design stuff so that next week, I can stay away from the computer. I WILL be checking my emails, but I have forbid myself to do anything design-like. I'm going to catch up on the cleaning, spend more time with my children, and maybe read a book! :) I just need to rejuvenate my creativity. I feel that I have been lacking in my designs lately and I think this will really help me to come back better than ever and be able to put out some new things and keep up with all my new design responsibilities!

My HIGH for the week was that my friend, Brianne was in town and we got to spend some time together. Brianne and I met in St. George, UT where we were roommates at College. We have been best friends ever since. She lives in Massachusetts now with her husband and 10-month old son, so we don't see each other very much. But now that I live in Orem, just a few minutes away from her parent's home, when she comes to visit them, we get to see each other! Tuesday night she came over and I made her dinner and we got to catch up! It was really great!


Some miscellaneous things that happened this week:

My kids are coming down with a cold and I hate that. My son tends to have fever-induced seizures so I am trying to prevent that from happening. My daughter actually has the worst of it and we were up all night. I hope this goes away soon.

JJ's school is having a FALL BREAK and he had yesterday, today and will have Monday off from school. Wish we could afford to go on vacation and do something fun, but I guess being home together is as good as anything!

I kind of hate to mention it here because I'm not sure it's going to happen, but I'm excited about it so I might as well tell you! I was contacted this week by a man who works for Diecuts With a View (a paper scrapbooking company that sells papers/embellishments at various scrapbooking stores including JoAnn's). He had seen my digital designs online and was interested in maybe offering me a graphic design job creating REAL papers for them! It is actually a full-time position, but I told him that I was a SAHM and needed to be at home. So he said it would be possible that we could work it out where I would just do it on a project-by-project basis and just go in for meetings and such and actually do my design work at home. He asked to see my papers up close and I have sent him some portfolio items. I haven't heard back and I'm getting a little nervous, but if this works out, it will be an absolutely INCREDIBLE opportunity! I sure hope I hear by next week...this is killing me to wait to know!

I am going to have the opportunity to work on a magazine again! I worked for PaperART Magazine and I designed all of their pages for their printed magazine. It was an amazing experience for me. Unfortunately, they went out of business and I've kind of missed that kind of design work. But I was fortunate enough to offer my services to Stacey Kluczny at 3Scrapateers, who produces an ezine. The premiere issue of SCRAP STYLE just came out. It's amazing and they need some help with it, so I am going to be putting the bi-monthly issues together for them, starting next issue! I'm very excited! Check it out HERE! It's on sale right now too so you gotta pick it up!

My son's school is having a fundraiser. They are selling Sally Foster Products (Gift Wrap/Gifts/Cookie Dough). I couldn't believe that they even get the kindergarteners involved in this, but I guess that is what they have to do to get money for the school. I bought some cookie dough and some gift wrap, but I am not much of a seller and all of our relatives/friends don't live here. LOL...but I found out that JJ can still get credit for any sales online. SO if anyone is interested or needs gifts/gift wrap and would like to support my son..please let me know and I will send you the information. I know this is just shameful to do this on my blog, but hey, I guess it's MY BLOG. LOL

HIGH/LOW

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned a game that is played on the movie, STORY OF US. The game is called HIGH/LOW. Where you say the best thing (HIGH) that happened that day (or week, or whatever) and the worst thing (LOW). I decided that it would be a fun thing to do every Friday on my blog. So if I don't say much about what is going on during the week, at least you will know 2 things that happened! :) And I was thinking I would try and mention a few other things that happened during the week as well! Hope you enjoy reading about my life!

So my LOW for the week would probably be Wednesday. I just had kind of a rotten day overall and then right in the middle of my OVER THE HUMP Crop @ Digitals, my internet connection goes out! For an hour, I sat there trying to get it to connect and everything, hoping that those members who came to my crop, weren't mad at me! LOL. I finally got back on and some wonderful team members had stepped in and got to know the members in my absence. It was a blessing, but I still felt REALLY BAD that it didn't go the way that I had wanted the crop to go...especially since it was my crop during Digitals Birthday Bash, that I am coordinating. Oh well, what can you do.

My HIGH this week would have to be when my hubby called and mentioned that he MIGHT be getting a very significant raise starting on the 15th of this month! I truly hope it goes through as we could really use it and it would make our lives so much easier! My hubby and I are very grateful for the opportunity he has had to work for Novell and have such a good boss who knows Joey's worth and treats him very well. The raise will come with a lot of extra work, but it will be worth it if we can get our debt paid off and start saving. So yay for my husband!


Some miscellaneous things that happened this week:

- My son lost his FIRST TOOTH! He's only 5 and I didn't expect that to happen. Especially since I have no idea how it happened, didn't even know it was loose, and my son didn't say anything at all. I was putting him to bed and just happened to catch that his bottom front tooth was missing. I asked him about it and he said "I don't know." Since he is developmental delayed and speech is a problem for him, he couldn't really tell me much. A few days later he mentioned that his "tummy hurt because his tooth went down there." So now, I have been checking to see if it is going to come out. LOL But I don't know if that is what really happened.

- I got accepted as a designer at SCRAP OUTSIDE THE BOX. So now I am the proud designer of FIVE Digital Scrapbook Stores! I hope I can keep up but I am very excited about this opportunity! I just gotta get it together and get setup and get some kits in the store!

- I have been coordinating the DIGITALS BIRTHDAY BASH #3 Event and it has been so amazing to see it all come together! I sure hope everyone has enjoyed it this week! Just a couple more days left to participate and get in on the 30% off store-wide sale and the Birthday Grab Bags!!!

HE'S TRULY THERE AND HE LOVES US!

My life has been completely crazy and out of control the past week or so. I have just had so much on my plate. It's winding down a little now, but I still have a lot to do. I am coordinating the Birthday Bash at Digitals that started today! Make sure you check out all the fun things that are going on. I have TWO grab bags going on this week...at Digitals and this weekend, another grab bag at Divine Digital. SIX brand-new products! Plus things on the homefront, have been just crazy financially and I'm just trying to keep my head above water.

So this morning when my hubby couldn't find his keys, it was just the last straw. They were the only keys we had to our van and they had other keys too. We tore the house apart for over 4 hours, because being a one-car family...it was the only way my hubby could get to work (well, he could have taken the bus....) I was already exhausted because I only had a few hours of sleep and of course we woke the kids up trying to find the keys. After much prayer, Joey finally found the keys on our daughter's bed. Our Heavenly Father is TRULY there, he hears us and answers our prayers. Sometimes the most little things are the most important and it really shows that our Heavenly Father cares, if he is going to help us find the most littlest things...like keys. It was an insignificant, and yet truly significant thing that we really needed. I'm just so grateful to have a testimony that our Heavenly Father is there. He cares about each one of us and he knows what we need. It was an amazing humbling experience today and even though I'm very tired and I'm not sure how I'm going to make it through the rest of the day and get everything done......I just feel very blessed in my life to have the knowledge that my Father in Heaven loves me and each one of us.
