Life 2011: Week 32

Monday, August 1, 2011

Beth had a great morning at Girl Scouts. They made some adorable Troop T-shirts and a banner for an upcoming parade that they get to be in. While Beth was at scouts, JJ and I did lots of grocery shopping!

We went to Beth's new school today to check out the Class Lists. Beth is so excited to meet her new teacher. I can't believe that in a few more weeks, school will start!

After such a busy summer and being on the go so much - the last couple of weeks have been LAZY! We've watched a lot of tv and played in the house. I've been trying to get back to designing so that has taken up a lot of my time. But one of the most satisfying things for me is to check on the kids and see my little Bethie girl all snuggled up with a book.

Muffin tin meals are a big hit at our house, especially when it means we get to have an inside picnic and watch a movie too. We had some great leftovers that made a great dinner tonight - Ravioli, Burritos, Cheesy Chips with Salsa, Salad, and Chocolate Pudding!

The kids love it when Joey puts on music/video for them from his computer. YouTube is definitely a favorite! The kids were getting excited about the new Phineas and Ferb Movie and so Joey was finding some of their favorite songs from the show.

It was a long day today. Joey forgot his laptop at Pete's house, so he took JJ and drove back up to Salt Lake City to get it. Unfortunately, our van decided to have problems and they were had to let it cool down before finally making it home. Beth and I spent all day on a much needed cleaning of the house. But we ended the day with our #23 Family Fun Activity which was watching the new Phineas and Ferb Movie. Phineas and Ferb is one of the kids' favorite shows and Joey loves it too. I watch it occasionally, but mostly its a Dad-Kids thing. We did our Family Movie Night tonight instead and watched the new movie. It was great!

Grandpa and Grandma Sorensen were supposed to arrive today, but plans change and we will be doing our visit tomorrow instead. So since we had already had Family Movie Night yesterday - we made no-bake cookies together instead! The kids had so much fun following the recipe and helping!

And here is my weekly layout:
