12 Years

12 years ago, Joey and I went on our very first date - we doubled with Clark and his date. We went to the $2 theater in St. George, Utah and saw "Seven Years in Tibet". Afterwards we danced in the gazebo at the park and then we brought ice cream home to my apartment to share with my roommates.

We spent the next 6 days together.

The next day, I went home to Orderville for the weekend. He brought me a single red rose before Amber and I left.

2 Days later, we came back to college and Joey had left me a Valentine's Day package. It was a wonderful stuffed bear - Alric. I still have him and he is cuddled up with all of our family's stuffed creatures on Beth's bed.

The next day, we shared our very first kiss - actually it was MY very first kiss ever.

About a month later, Joey unofficially proposed. I said yes.

3 months later, Joey moved to Salt Lake City for a job opportunity.

6 months later, Joey officially proposed in front of my family on Christmas day. I said yes again.

Almost 6 months after that, we were married in the St. George LDS Temple.

2 1/2 years later, we had our first child.

A little over 3 years later, we had our second child.


We've had ups and downs, as life always presents. We've had to move a few times. We've had to live in different towns for a couple of years, due to job/money problems. But through it all, our love for each other has always been there. We've always been together in our hearts. Our love has changed - but for the better. He's still my best friend. He's still the one that I want to be with forever. I love you, Joey. Happy Anniversary, my Love!
