Project 365: Week 38

Monday, September 14, 2009

I had my laptop open on the desk and I was doing dishes. I knew I had left a water cup in the bedroom, so I went and got it and on my way through the living room, I tripped over Joey's desk chair and the leftover water from the cup went directly into my laptop's computer! I couldn't believe my bad luck, I tried to dry it out and it worked for a little while with an external keyboard, but then it just wouldn't work. I'm so sad because we just don't have the money to fix it right now.

Chili for dinner and smiles all around. Beth had a Pajama day and stayed in her pjs all day and I didn't know until after I took these photos that she matched her brother's shirt!

I'm really glad that I am able to walk Beth to school. I'm getting some much needed exercise and Beth really loves it because we have that time for just the two of us. We have been talking about lots of things together and she loves that when I go to pick her up I have her favorite ham and cheese sandwich waiting that she gets to eat on the way home!

Thursday nights are now volleyball for me and I'm loving it. I'm really out of shape and I can't move the way I could in high school, but it's still a lot of fun. I'm so grateful for a husband who will come and put the kids to bed so I can do this!

Today was JJ's school's Fall Festival. We went for about an hour and the kids got to ride some ponies, ride the swings, and their favorite - shoot off some paper rockets!

The kids each earned a special activity through their chore chart this week, so JJ got to go with Dad to have pizza and play at Chuck E. Cheese and Beth and I went to a great park that had these fun fountains that she got to wade in!

We baked brownies in ice cream cones and then topped it with ice cream and sprinkles for dessert. So yummy!

Those brownie cones sound delish! I made my dd's birthday cake in cones a couple ofyears ago but I frosted them and let the kids put their sprinkles on. Ice cream is a great idea. I think I will do that next time. Love your kids! They are so sweet looking and very cute. Great job!!
