Thank you all so much for your input on my ATTACHED AT THE HEART Kit! I really appreciate all your ideas and suggestions!

I just wanted to let you know what I have decided to do. The kit will include the brown bears for (they are a more reddish-brown than in other kits). BUT I will also have a little add-on to the kit which you can buy that will include the same bears from the Kit, but will be colored (Pink, Purple, Red, Tan).

And here is what you can expect from the bears:

1. 2 Bears holding a laced up heart
2. 2 Bears holding hands
3. A Bear holding a laced up heart
4. A bear holding a laced up heart and a heart rose
5. A Bear holding a heart rose
6. 2 Bears hugging
7. 2 Bears, 1 bear kissing the other bears cheek
8. 2 Bears Kissing

I hope that will satisfy everyone! :) And actually I finished all the bears today and so the papers and bears are all done, so I just have miscellanous elements to finish up and the kit will be done! Yay!

HELP!

Hey everyone,

I need some quick input on my Valentine Kit that I am creating! I'm going to include several bears (hugging, kissing, etc.), but my question is...would you rather have colored bears (pink, purple, red) or stay with Brown bears.

I was thinking I would like to keep it more versatile and do a brown, slightly reddish brown...so you could make them either boy/girl related.

But I want to make sure you like it...so what are your thoughts! I'm trying to get the kit done this week so if you all could respond quickly to this, I'd really appreciate it!

My Son's Birthday

My son, JJ, turned 6 on Saturday. I can't believe he's growing up so fast. I think he really had a great day. He gets overwhelmed pretty easily (he's developmentally delayed and we think he has some form of autism...no clear diagnosis yet), but he did pretty well yesterday. We actually kept it really casual and just had a family party. My hubby, me, JJ, and his sister Beth.



He opened his presents which was a couple of Transformers and a Mac and Lightning McQueen Lego Set (from the Disney-Pixar Movie Cars) and he was so excited. He loves that movie and his favorite character is Mac. And I gotta tell you, there aren't that many Mac toys around. He's wanted one for so long and I haven't been able to find one for him, but as soon as I saw that Lego set, I knew he would love it...and he did. The Legos were large and not many pieces so that was good. JJ and his Dad put it together and he played all day with it:







While they put the lego set together and played...I decorated the cake. I have to say I'm not much of a cake decorator...so I always go with something simple. JJ loves a lot of things...Disney Movies (especially the Pixar ones), Blue's Clues, and most recently he's really been getting into action heros, mostly Superman and Batman. And since JJ's middle name is Clark...I thought what better cake than to do a superman one...you know, like Clark Kent. :) So I simply drew a Superman logo on a 9x13 cake! Simple huh? LOL But he loved it so that's all that matters! :)



Anyways, so I think it was a good day for him and I really think this was the first year he really understood what a BIRTHDAY was...so that made it a lot of fun!!!

High/Low - January 25th + Freebie

My LOW for this week is probably that my kids have just been fighting all week. They only really have moments where they get along really well. But for some reason it has really gotten on my nerves. I've yelled and spanked probably a bit too much this week. Actually I haven't done real well on my resolutions this week either..I've missed 2 days of my exercising...up until now I haven't missed one...so I gotta get back at it next week.


My HIGH for this week is that I finished my Farm TearZ Kit! I still have to do previews and zip it all up, but it's done. YAY! This kit will be the Half-n-Half Deal at 3Scrapateers the week of February 21st. So it won't be in the store for a couple of weeks, but stay tuned because it will be a great deal! High/Low - January 18th + Freebie

My LOW for this week would be that I'm in a bit of a rut again designing. I pushed myself pretty darn hard this last couple of weeks and I think I overdid it a little bit. So even though I have a lot to do, I think this weekend I am going to try and stay away from the computer...hopefully that will help me to be creative starting on Monday. I've got 2 kits that I'm working on right now. My FARM TEARZ and a Valentine Kit called ATTACHED AT THE HEART. These will both be released in February so I really got to get them finished up. So hopefully I'll get some creative flow happening!

My HIGH for the week is that I finished the 3S ScrapStyle issue. I'm really proud of how it turned out. It feels good to do a different kind of designing, rather than just scrapbook kits occasionally. See yesterday's posting for a link to the ezine and I hope you'll pick it up! I promise it is well worth the price!

High/Low - January 11th + Freebie

My LOW for this week would definitely be the nervous breakdown I had last night. LOL I got all panicky about all my responsibilities that I have and just went a little hysterical. Thanks to my hubby, I finally calmed down. I don't know why I do this from time-to-time, but I feel better today, so hopefully that's all I needed to be able to cope for awhile. Unfortunately I have a tendency to have panic attacks and depression-runs in the family-but I'm feeling better today so hopefully I got it out of my system for the time being.

My HIGH for the week is that I'm very excited to be keeping to my new year resolutions this week. I realize it is really just the first week, but still I'm proud of myself. I have been exercising every day, reading my scriptures, spending time with the kids, etc. and it just feels good to find some balance in my life. I'm still a little stressed about things, but hopefully as I start to get into a normal routine, I will find that true balance that I feel I need.

High/Low - January 4th + Freebie + MORE!

Welcome to my Friday HIGH/LOW and FREEBIE!

I truly hope everyone's holidays were wonderful and that you are starting off your year in a great way! I had a good holiday and it was nice to have a break from all my responsibilities and just spend time with my family. I really am feeling like this could be a good year and I feel like I am getting a good start on my new year resolutions!

My HIGH for the week has been that I have really been getting my house cleaned up and it feels really good. I only have the kids room to go...but I think it is going to have to wait a couple of weeks before I get to it. The rest of the house is looking pretty good, I've dusted and vacuumed and organized and just did a good cleaning up and throwing away! I love how it feels! And even better I have been able to keep up with it and get on a good schedule of cleaning and picking up...so yay for me! :)

My LOW for the week is that the holidays have come to an end. My hubby started back to work on Wednesday and JJ started school yesterday. I really enjoyed the time we had together, especially since my hubby took a couple of weeks off (with pay of course)...and it was just really nice to spend the holidays with my parents and brothers/sister and then still have a week to be with just Joey and the kids. So nice to just be home and watch movies and do nothing. :) So I am really kind of sad that it had to end, but hopefully we can get on a normal schedule soon.


So here is my resolutions that I have made for this year:

-- Personal and Family Prayer and Scripture Study every day

-- Get on an organized schedule of cleaning and picking up to keep the house clean so I can have most of my time for designing

-- Exercise: Taebo on Monday-Wednesday-Friday; Shapely Secrets on Tuesday-Thursday

-- Spend at least an hour every day just interacting and being with my children

-- Comment daily (or at least on the weekdays) on at least 5 layouts at EACH of my store galleries (3Scrapateers, Digitals, Divine Digital, Scrap Outside the Box, and The Scrapping Garden)


And speaking of resolutions.... I have a great new kit that I am working on called ASPIRATIONS. And I would love to hear your input on it. Please see yesterday's post on this HERE. I would love to have your input on a kit that I am designing. It is called I'M GONNA.... and it is a New Year Resolutions type kit....I would love to hear your ideas of things to include that you could all use in making your goals and also in celebration of the new year and the winter season. If I could incorporate all of this I would really LOVE IT! And of course I need ideas of how to incorporate my trademark bears into the kit as well!
