Recipe Thursday - Ravioli Bake

Each Thursday, I am going to be sharing a recipe with you!I will pick a recipe from my collection and I will be sharing where I got the recipe and everything. But I am going to include my own photo of the finished food, the original recipe, and try and share the things I changed when I made it!

I would love your help too! If you have a great recipe, especially week-night dinner recipes (but I would love all kinds of recipes) - please share it with me, by emailing me at dedesmith32@gmail.com. I will try it out and feature it on my blog! If you have cooking tips or anything else in regards to cooking and food - please email me!

This week's Recipe:
An online friend/customer emailed me this recipe after she mentioned it in one of my chats. It is so easy and so good! Thank you so much Kristin for being willing to share it!

Ravioli Bake
by Kristin Willett

1 large jar spaghetti sauce (use at least 26 oz.)
1 can diced tomatoes; undrained
1/2 cup water
2 lbs frozen ravioli
8 oz shredded Italian Cheese blend
Parmesan Cheese

On the night I made this - I had to make some changes because I didn't have what I thought I had! LOL But it still worked out really good! This is a recipe you could add/subtract from according to your tastes - so it's all good! Here's the changes I made: I ended up not having canned tomatoes (so I didn't use them), I used a different cheese since I didn't have the Italian blend (but I would love to try it with mozzarella/parmesan), and I only had 1 1/2 lbs frozen ravioli (next time, I'll make sure and have a larger package). I also layered in some ground beef (that I browned with salt, pepper, onion, and some garlic bread seasoning) and I think it added a lot to this dish!

Preheat oven to 400 F
In a bowl mix sauce tomatoes and water.
In a 13x9 baking dish spoon 1/3 of the sauce.
Layer 1/2 of the ravioli on top of the sauce.
Sprinkle 1/2 of the Italian Cheese on top.
Top cheese with 1/3 of sauce.
Layer remaining ravioli, sprinkle with remaining Italian cheese.
Top it off with the remaining sauce.
Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes.
Top with Parmesan cheese.
Let sit 10 minutes and then enjoy.
