A Christmas Survey

OK, I read this on Stacy's blog, and thought, I should do this too!

Here we go...

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
Hot Chocolate, definitely.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
Sit them under the tree - when I was growing up that is how my parents did it and it just seems right. I like that as soon as my kiddos are allowed to go in the living room they are able to see what Santa brought right away.

3. Colored lights or white lights on the tree/house?
I am a big fan of blue lights! So our tree is usually blue and white lights - so pretty!

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
nope

5. When do you put your decorations up?
Usually on December 1st

6. What is your favorite holiday dish?
HAM and potatoes

7. Favorite Christmas memory as a child?
So many of them - its hard to choose. I guess just being the one out of all of us (7 children) who loved putting up the decorations. It was basically my job because I loved to do it.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
I think I was about 10. My parents believed in letting the magic last for me as long as I could. My friends told me the truth and then when I asked my mom about it - she told me.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas eve?
Yes - just one. Usually the new pjs.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
Usually I just have my small fake tree that has white lights on it (but this year we have a real one). I string blue lights on it as well and use the silver icicle stuff. Then I just have a scattering of different ornaments and don't forget the star on top.

11. Snow...love it or dread it?
Love the snow - but only when I don't have to drive in it.

12. Can you ice skate?
Nope

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
Lots of favorites - but I did get engaged on Christmas 1998 - so I guess that would be my favorite.

14. What's the most important thing about Christmas for you?
The Reason for the Season - feeling the Christmas magic that is around because of Jesus Christ.

15. What is your favorite Christmas dessert?
Peanut Clusters

16. What is your favorite Christmas tradition?
Watching Christmas movies!

17. What tops your tree?
Star

18. Which do you prefer---giving or receiving?
Giving

19. What is your favorite Christmas song?
So many great ones - but I love the music from The Forgotten Carols by Michael McLean

20. Candy Canes---yuck or yum?
Yuck

21. Favorite Christmas show?
One Magic Christmas and The Forgotten Carols

22. Saddest Christmas song?
I don't actually know

23. What's your wish for Christmas?
I want my heart to be filled with peace - no worries just happiness.
