High/Low - February 29th + Freebie + MORE!

Hi everyone! Did you miss me? :) Sorry I haven't been very good at blogging lately. Life can be totally crazy sometimes. I have just been so busy finishing up the next issue of ScrapStyle magazine and other design projects. I haven't even got a chance to get my next kit started! I need to get cracking...I know it has been awhile since I released a new kit. Thanks for your patience everyone, hopefully next week will be better!


My LOW for the week was probably the fact that POTTY TRAINING is so hard! LOL I am potty training both my children right now. Some days are good and others are bad. I just didn't think it would take so long. As long as I take them to the toilet every 15 minutes we are good. But if I even wait one minute longer it seems like they go in their pants. I don't know how to get them to tell me when they need to go. LOL I'm sure it will get easier, eventually. Just when I think it's going good though, we have a bad day. I will be so glad when this is over! :)


My HIGH for the week was definitely my great GIRLS NIGHT OUT SLEEPOVER last weekend! I just had a total blast. Eight ladies from my church made it out and we got to go up the canyon to an AMAZING log cabin! There was tons of snow and we got to go sledding! We also stayed up until 4am chatting (isn't that what sleepovers are for)...and we had a woman who caters for a living feed us great food! It was just such a great relaxing night and morning and I'm so glad I went. They are doing it one more time at the end of March and I am signing up again. Sometimes it just is really nice to have some time for yourself. My hubby was so amazing to let me do this and to take the kids for a night by his self :)

So here are some of the things I am working on this coming week:

- It's a DEFINITE GO on the childrens book! I will be illustrating the book using my TearZ animals and I'm very excited about this opportunity! We are getting started next week and are going to try and have it done before April. Stay tuned for possible sneak peeks and more information on getting the book when it is done!

- I am currently doing last minute revisions on the new issue of the 3S ScrapStyle Magazine. It will be in the 3Scrapateers Store starting tomorrow! You won't want to miss the over 300MB of free downloads and great articles! This issue is jam-packed full of great stuff - 65 pages worth! All for only $5 an issue! You'll want to get the back issues as well! :)

- I will also be working on my brother's wedding invitation this week. They are going with a simple 8x4 announcement....with a collage of photos. So simple, easy, and beautiful! Can't wait to get it done and show it off!

- I have 3 kits that I am working on especially right now. First is the kit for the MY FAVORITE THINGS Crops in March. It is called SPRING WILL COME and has a mixture of darker spring colors. It will come out next Friday, so I really got to get it finished! And then I am also working on a kit as a customer request that I thought would go really well with my TearZ style. I am working on a LEGO kit. Just started so not sure exactly where this one is going to go yet. I also am going to do a Dinosaur TearZ Kit. This will be the Scrap-A-Deal Kit on April 9th, so I have some time to get this one done. I also need to get working on some mega kit contributions for my various sites. I also have a recent request for a Pirate TearZ Kit, so I need to get going on that one too. So many requests/ideas, so little time! Thanks for your patience!

- I feel bad because I keep missing the Divine Digital Grab Bags every month, but I have just been too busy to get some things done for it. Hopefully soon I will have this opportunity!

- So you will want to drop by the Divine Digital forum every day during the month of March. I am one of the featured designers in March and along with my 2 colleagues, Carol Burns and Mandy Rae Designs we have created a great Download-a-Day Kit! Pick up a piece of this kit every day in March...starting TOMORROW!





Well, I THINK that is all I have going at the moment. LOL. I'm just trying to keep it all together and get through my to-do list. Did I mention that I need to clean my house and start the SPRING CLEANING before my brother's wedding? LOL I also need to lose some weight, but that's a whole other story. It's driving me crazy..I have been exercising every day since January 3rd and not losing anything. I hate trying to combat my birth control pills. Any ideas/suggestions anyone? I really want to feel good about myself again.


ANYWAYS, I do have a freebie for you today! I thought that in celebration of LEAP YEAR DAY you would like to have a little FROG FRAME! I thought it turned out cute, that I may just have to make a full Frog Kit sometime. LOL Hope you all like it!

No Friday Blogging this week....

I have a lot on my plate right now. I'm trying to stay on top of everything, but I'm a bit behind and feeling a little creative block as well.

SO, I am taking Friday and the weekend OFF! So no High/Low or Freebie this week. I hope you understand...I just need a break. I actually have the opportunity to go on a GIRLS NIGHT OUT SLEEPOVER with some ladies from my church. We are heading up Friday night into the mountains to stay at a nice cabin...just the girls. My hubby has graciously let me do this and he will have the kids to himself that night. We will come home Saturday afternoon. I really NEED this. I never really take a break and I don't go on vacations...so I am really going to enjoy this time to myself for a change.

Hopefully I will come back strong, healthy and feeling good about myself so that I can go full speed ahead on my to-do list!

BUT I still have a crop tomorrow night at 3S and then I will be back for my Saturday MY FAVORITE THINGS Crop at 3S as well! So don't forget to join me in the chatroom!

High/Low - February 15th + Freebie + MORE!

So here it is after 3am (my time) and I can't sleep. I've had quite an awful day because it's that time of the month again and my cramps are worse than usual. Thankfully my hubby came home early and took the kids for awhile so I got a nap in, which really helped. But now I can't sleep. So I thought I could get caught up on some design things, but for some reason I am having a hard time being creative. I mean I have enough to do...a huge list really. A new issue of ScrapStyle to get done, an exciting new project that is actually my HIGH today (see below), I've got a huge list of ideas for kits to get started on, my brother's wedding invitation to do, some mega kit submissions to finish, some uploading to do to backup my HD, I could do some laundry and house cleaning, my computer is a mess, I really could take some time to organize it.....but of course none of these were really appealing to me. So I turned on a movie and was sitting and watching it when I realized that I have FOUR crops this coming week! And I'm not prepared...so I thought I would do some preparing for that and I got a little creative streak....AND created some BRAND NEW Preview Cards. So same logo and everything, but I have a bit of a new image for myself! I'm actually liking it quite well! SO you get a look into my new image with today's freebie....scroll down! :) So anyways, I'm REALLY trying to get caught up with everything. I know you are all probably anxious for me to get another kit out, but I will get to it as soon as I can. I'm trying very hard to get through my to-do list. So please be patient with me!


My LOW for the week was definitely that my son was sick this week. He was doing better today so I sent him to school so he didn't miss out on his Valentine's Day party so that was good. He's still coughing a bit, but at least his fever is gone. Fevers really scare me because for the past few years, everytime JJ got a high fever he would have grand maul seizures. In addition to all his developmental delays and all the problems we had, this was just another scary thing in his short life. Thankfully, his last seizure was almost a year ago, so maybe he has grown out of them! I really hope so! It scares me so much to even think of that. So of course I was hovering pretty close this week, really fearing that he would have a seizure. But it looks like we made it through without one this time. Yay!

My HIGH for the week is I just got an amazing opportunity! It's still not completely figured out yet, but it looks like I am going to be able to illustrate a CHILDREN'S BOOK! And I will be using my TearZ Animal Templates to do it! I can't tell you all the details yet, as we are still in the process of figuring it all out, but I am just so excited! I never would have imagined that my animal tearz would be published in a book, but they fit so well with the story and everything! I am just so thrilled to do this! I'll let you know more as everything gets figured out!

PIRATE DAY

So February is Read-a-thon Month at Hillcrest Elementary (My son JJ's school). They have lots of fun reading events going on this month. Their theme is a pirate theme: "The Adventure Awaits. Find Treasures in Reading" and today was PIRATE DRESS-UP DAY. I remembered this only about 45 minutes before I needed to put JJ on the bus. So I quickly made a eye-patch from some elastic and cardstock and put a bandana around his head. Not much, but he loved it, so that's all that matters! :)

High/Low - February 8th + Freebie

Hello everyone. I hope everyone's week was good. Mine was a little rough but I got about 10 hours of sleep last night (thanks to my wonderful hubby, who sent me to bed early and put the kids to bed himself). So I'm feeling pretty good now, so hopefully I will accomplish a few things today! :)


My LOW for the week was definitely my sleep troubles, which left me feeling ill, unrested, and unable to focus and concentrate on anything. Hopefully I'm over that now and can just take it easy this weekend and start fresh on Monday.

My HIGH for the week was on last Saturday when my brother came over with his girlfriend to announce that they were engaged! Yay for Cody and Becki! I'm very excited for them. And guess what? I get to design their wedding invitations! It should be a lot of fun. They are getting married on April 25th, so I gotta get busy. I'm now trying to catch up on all my design deadlines so that I will have it out of the way so I can work on invitations! So I really gotta focus and get things done. And I can't sign up for anything else design-wise for a little while. LOL Anyways, but I'm very excited for my brother!

Anniversary!

Ten years ago, today, my hubby and I went on our first date! :) We went to the movie theater and watched SEVEN YEARS IN TIBET, and went dancing in the park (in a gazebo). :) It's crazy to me that it has been 10 years. In some ways, it doesn't seem that long and in other ways, it seems longer. But I'm very happy we went on that date. That date was pretty much all it took, we were pretty much a couple from the get-go. I had my very first kiss 10 days later. A month later, we pretty much knew we would be married and 9 months later he proposed. And 16 1/2 months from our first date we WERE married in the St. George LDS Temple. A long road we have taken since then, but he is still my very best friend and I love him very much. We have had 2 children together. We have lived in 5 different places. For about 2 1/2 years (Starting in November 2004) we had to struggle with me living first with his in-laws and then my parents while he worked 5 hours away, because we couldn't even afford rent. This ended this past July when we finally were able to move up here with him. It was a long road but our relationship has stayed extremely strong and for that I am so grateful. I missed him every minute that he was away and I feel so blessed to be married to this man, who takes such good care of me and the kids. I love that he will come home from a long day at work and still give me a break and be with the kids and play with them/read to them. I love how much he is always supporting me in whatever I want to do. I love that he loves the way I cook. :) I love that he always makes me feel beautiful. I just love that we fit perfectly together in every way.

I love you Joey, thank you for being my Knight!


In other news...LOL... I'm still not feeling so good. But it's just because I can't seem to sleep. The past 3 or so nights, I haven't been able to sleep for some reason. I'm extremely tired, but just can't go to sleep. If I could actually get something done during those hours (like design stuff), I would be okay with it. But I can't seem to focus or concentrate on anything, so nothing gets done. Talk about frustration! So I hope I can get rid of this soon so I can get back on track.

Thank you all so much for your support! I love hearing from all of you and I feel like I have gained many friends and that means so much to me! My friends are scattered around the country and I don't really know enough people yet here in Orem, Utah and have not felt really close to anyone yet. So it's nice to know I have my friends in the digital scrapbook community!

What a day!

Wow! What a day, and not even 2pm yet (in Utah)! It started out with my 2-year-old daughter taking one of my birth Control pills! Talk about panic! I immediately called poison control, just frantic, but was told that she will be just fine that she shouldn't have any bad side effects. WHEW! I'm so glad, but wow it took me a long time to get calmed down.

And since then I just haven't gotten anything done. I need to get at it, but I was truly very scared. I've never had anything like that happen. Oh well, she's fine and I need to get back to work!

High/Low - February 1st + Freebie

Happy February! I can't believe that it's already February...where does time go? I hope everyone's week was wonderful!

My LOW for the Week was yesterday. I hate it when you wake up and everything goes wrong all day. LOL I was just in a horrible emotional state yesterday and I really don't have any reason or anything...just one of those days. Kids drove me crazy, I couldn't seem to get anything done and I kept crying for no reason. Even picked a fight with my hubby over something really dumb. Stupid birth control pills are making me an emotional wreck LOL. Oh well, I'm better today.

My HIGH for the Week has been being the guest blogger at The Scrapping Garden. It's always so nice to get so many comments and I definitely felt the love this week and it was way awesome.

I have several projects going on right now. I've got a couple of forum challenges going on in February. I'm hosting the Digital Quickies Challenge and the SOTB Make Mine a Double Sketch Challenge. I of course have my ongoing crops as well. I have a Bookmark Challenge from my last Over the Hump Crop at Digitals going that you still have until Wednesday to participate. You also still have time to participate in my Stickit Challenge from my Fun with DeDe Crop at TSG. And then of course I have my upcoming crops....Every Wednesday night at 9pm EST at Digitals (Over the Hump), my 2 crops on Saturdays (the 9th and 23rd) at 9pm EST at 3Scrapateers (My Favorite Things), and my crop on Feb 27th at The Scrapping Garden (Fun with DeDe). I am also a sponsor of PROJECT DIVINE at Divine Digital this month. A lot of fun things happening, so you'll want to check that out. As part of my sponsorship, I will be hosting another Bookmark Challenge Crop on February 19th at 10pm EST in the Divine Digital chatroom and I will also be doing an Ad Challenge at Divine Digital starting February 11th. And I will be starting to do another issue of the 3S ScrapStyle Magazine, the issue will be released March 1st.


Quite a list huh? It's actually good to get it all down in one place just to see everything I have going on LOL Well, I hope you got through it all!
