HIGH/LOW - July 4th + FREEBIE

Hello everyone! For those of you in the United States....HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful day of being with family and friends!

My LOW for the week is that I have been concentrating so much on design stuff that my house is a total disaster. I hate cleaning and I have just put it all off so I could get caught up with my design stuff. I really need to get it cleaned, but I guess it will have to wait until next week so I can spend the 3 day weekend with my family. Good news is that I think I am just about prepared for everything in July so I can get cracking on the children's book that I am illustrating. I'm hoping to finish it within the next couple of months!

My HIGH for the week is that although the week kind of started off badly....my kids have been doing really good with their potty training the past few days! No accidents...yay! Of course nighttime is another matter...not even close on that one...but it feels really nice not to have to change diapers...even though there are many interruptions to the day with having to help them on the toilet...but still much better! For those of you who don't know...my son is autistic (he's 6) and this has been a long time coming and really hard times trying to get him to understand potty training...but I think we are almost there. And my daughter is 3 and pretty darn smart but she just follows her brother's lead too much. LOL Anyways the past few days have been really good and I hope I don't jinx it by saying that here. LOL

Don't forget to check out my July 4th Word Album to scrap all your fun memories!

Also I have 3 crops next week! Please join me at Digitals on Wednesday, RakScraps on Thursday, and at 3Scrapateers on Saturday! More info with ads will be coming and you can also look on the above calendars for more details!

And here's a little INDEPENDENCE DAY Freebie in celebration of today's holiday! I hope you can use it!

My house is a mess too...it's always a mess! I live with 2 slobs...and Owen doesn't like for me to clean. I have to clean when he's asleep. So I'm with you and the messy house! Congrats on the potty training...I can't wait until Owen isn't wearing diapers anymore. Happy 4th!

that's awesome about the potty-training! :)
oh, and my house is a disaster. I am 3 most preggo, and can't do much housework (long story). But even when I "can", I usually "don't". LOL
TYVM for the cute embellies!

Oh what fun! I will have to try this out with your patriotic kit!

Ahhh well that's life. Didn't Phyllis Diller say something like "Cleaning the house while your kids are small is like shoveling the driveway while it's still snowing!" ... or Erma Bombeck say something like "My theory on housework is, if the item doesn't multiply, smell, catch fire, or block the refridgerator door, let it be. No one cares. Why should you?" LOL There your guilt is gone! LOL

Its PERFECT! TYVM! I, too, have an Autistic son. Also a high-D personality, so much bumping heads. hehe. He's 28, lives in his own apartment- thought it would never happen. I'm his CG- its a bit scary, like giving your 9 year old his own apartment 14 miles away, but it has worked for over 5 years, and you have a BIG adventure ahead of you. I am STILL trying to learn to 'think autistic', so I can relate to his outbursts better. I will never be an empty-nester! hehe Blessings upon you! your work is so uplifting! TYVM again!
