High/Low - February 29th + Freebie + MORE!

Hi everyone! Did you miss me? :) Sorry I haven't been very good at blogging lately. Life can be totally crazy sometimes. I have just been so busy finishing up the next issue of ScrapStyle magazine and other design projects. I haven't even got a chance to get my next kit started! I need to get cracking...I know it has been awhile since I released a new kit. Thanks for your patience everyone, hopefully next week will be better!

My LOW for the week was probably the fact that POTTY TRAINING is so hard! LOL I am potty training both my children right now. Some days are good and others are bad. I just didn't think it would take so long. As long as I take them to the toilet every 15 minutes we are good. But if I even wait one minute longer it seems like they go in their pants. I don't know how to get them to tell me when they need to go. LOL I'm sure it will get easier, eventually. Just when I think it's going good though, we have a bad day. I will be so glad when this is over! :)

My HIGH for the week was definitely my great GIRLS NIGHT OUT SLEEPOVER last weekend! I just had a total blast. Eight ladies from my church made it out and we got to go up the canyon to an AMAZING log cabin! There was tons of snow and we got to go sledding! We also stayed up until 4am chatting (isn't that what sleepovers are for)...and we had a woman who caters for a living feed us great food! It was just such a great relaxing night and morning and I'm so glad I went. They are doing it one more time at the end of March and I am signing up again. Sometimes it just is really nice to have some time for yourself. My hubby was so amazing to let me do this and to take the kids for a night by his self :)

Check out some of the photos I took:

So here are some of the things I am working on this coming week:

- It's a DEFINITE GO on the childrens book! I will be illustrating the book using my TearZ animals and I'm very excited about this opportunity! We are getting started next week and are going to try and have it done before April. Stay tuned for possible sneak peeks and more information on getting the book when it is done!

- I am currently doing last minute revisions on the new issue of the 3S ScrapStyle Magazine. It will be in the 3Scrapateers Store starting tomorrow! You won't want to miss the over 300MB of free downloads and great articles! This issue is jam-packed full of great stuff - 65 pages worth! All for only $5 an issue! You'll want to get the back issues as well! :)

- I will also be working on my brother's wedding invitation this week. They are going with a simple 8x4 announcement....with a collage of photos. So simple, easy, and beautiful! Can't wait to get it done and show it off!

- I have 3 kits that I am working on especially right now. First is the kit for the MY FAVORITE THINGS Crops in March. It is called SPRING WILL COME and has a mixture of darker spring colors. It will come out next Friday, so I really got to get it finished! And then I am also working on a kit as a customer request that I thought would go really well with my TearZ style. I am working on a LEGO kit. Just started so not sure exactly where this one is going to go yet. I also am going to do a Dinosaur TearZ Kit. This will be the Scrap-A-Deal Kit on April 9th, so I have some time to get this one done. I also need to get working on some mega kit contributions for my various sites. I also have a recent request for a Pirate TearZ Kit, so I need to get going on that one too. So many requests/ideas, so little time! Thanks for your patience!

- I feel bad because I keep missing the Divine Digital Grab Bags every month, but I have just been too busy to get some things done for it. Hopefully soon I will have this opportunity!

- So you will want to drop by the Divine Digital forum every day during the month of March. I am one of the featured designers in March and along with my 2 colleagues, Carol Burns and Mandy Rae Designs we have created a great Download-a-Day Kit! Pick up a piece of this kit every day in March...starting TOMORROW!

Well, I THINK that is all I have going at the moment. LOL. I'm just trying to keep it all together and get through my to-do list. Did I mention that I need to clean my house and start the SPRING CLEANING before my brother's wedding? LOL I also need to lose some weight, but that's a whole other story. It's driving me crazy..I have been exercising every day since January 3rd and not losing anything. I hate trying to combat my birth control pills. Any ideas/suggestions anyone? I really want to feel good about myself again.

ANYWAYS, I do have a freebie for you today! I thought that in celebration of LEAP YEAR DAY you would like to have a little FROG FRAME! I thought it turned out cute, that I may just have to make a full Frog Kit sometime. LOL Hope you all like it!

Wish I could offer you some advice on the potty training. My son was a nightmare, my daughter a breeze. I think what I learned from my son was not to push or try too hard. Good luck!!
Those photos are awesome! Living in SC I don't get to see snow except maybe an inch or two every few years! It sounds like you had a wonderful time!
Can't wait for your children's book! I know it is going to be wonderful! Looking forward to grabbing 3S Scrapstyle in the next few days. I hope you were able to continue your articles on researching family history. I really enjoyed your article in the last issue!

Goodness you have your plate full!

I got away last night finally...I homeschool one child during the day and do homework with the public school child at night...seems I live and breathe schoolwork!...it was just a 6 hour crop...and I was the only one there "really" doing digi...so there was a lot of interest. Of course I was using your Tearz series and everyone was just fascinated by the mulberry paper animals! 8-)

The frog is adorable! Thank you!!

Weight loss? water water water helps a lot. I joined Inches A Weigh (you might see if there is one in your area) and I have lost 57 pounds since the end of July last year...the support there has been wonderful! I am learning the CORRECT way to eat and lose weight! They have cardio machines & toning beds. I HATE to exercise but I really like this place! It's a life style change in the way of eating. Amazing how much better I feel now.

Hint: Cut out the beef and pork (no more than twice a week)... eat fish and chicken more. Get a support system it really really helps! Good luck!

LEGO?! Oh how cool is that! Your son would probably love my son's bed his dad made him...it looks like LEGO bricks. Looking forward to that kit! Also my sons have the LEGO Mindstorms robot so could use the kit with those pics too!

Thanks so much for the frame. I love frogs!!!
I would love a frog kit!!
Also I just had a baby in Dec and I have been drinking these shakes from Awareness life.https://secure.awarenesslife.com
You drink a shake for breakfast and then one for dinner and I have lost 25 lbs since Jan. I do exersize in the morning and night too. I walk on my treadmill. All last year I went to an aerobics class and I never lost a pound. So I know how you feel. My husband thinks the shakes taste like paint but I really like them. I just thought I would tell you what has worked for me. Also one of my friend's is doing the South Beach diet and she has lost 30 lbs and kept it off for almost a year.

I LOVE the froggie! And I feel sure that's Don and Nancy's cabin! hehe. Love it! And I, too, am a member of your faith, and have an Autistic son. Now, If I could just design! :) Look to the 7 habits of highly effective... for your salvation in too much to do. Spend time learning it- and using it- you will be a new woman! HERE! urgent/ important, urgent/ not important, not urgent/ yes important, and not urgent/ not important. If you mark a page in 4ths, put each one of those headings in each box, assign all your to-do's in the corresponding box, and work from there, you will be way-more effective! Going to family's for dinner for ex.. is certainly not urgent, but is certainly important, at least once a month. etc, etc. Get the important things done, leave the not-urgent/ not importants, till after you have the importants done, or for after 4 hours of the importants and urgents, then a one-hour break for not-urgent/ not important. yes, organized to the extreme, no, not as much fun, but certainly effective, and stress-relieving. have fun!
